Project Summary

The Dunes is a three-storey supported living scheme in Redcar comprising of 1 & 2 bed apartments with communal facilities plus a dementia care centre for use by the wider community.

The scheme comprises 64 apartments specially designed and built to provide independent living facilities for residents aged 55 and over, with an on-site care and support team available 24/7 should residents require it. Communal facilities on site include a hairdressing salon and a bistro which are available to both residents and the surrounding community.

Our Approach

All 64 apartments were specifically designed to meet a range of support needs. There is a choice of one or two bedrooms and three carefully planned layout options all of which included:-

A door entry access system and intercom
Modern kitchen fitted with base/wall units and work surfaces with space for an electric cooker, washing machine and fridge freezer
Level access shower in the bathroom
Emergency alarms
Modern heating with temperature controls in each room
Lounges and master bedrooms come with TV and telephone points
Hard-wiring for assistive technology such as falls and flood monitors, medication reminders/dispenser, property exit sensors
Wi-Fi enabled
The freedom to decorate your home
Individually metered water and electric
