Celebrating Employee Growth with Promotions

With a company culture led by developing our own talent, we are thrilled to announce the promotion of two extraordinary members of the team, Carl Beet and Kieran Costello, to the roles of Senior Structural Engineer and Civil Engineer respectively.

These well-earned promotions reflect their efforts across the years alongside commitment to their continued professional development.

Carl is approaching his 10-year anniversary with Portland.  Initially joining the company in 2015 after moving to the region, Carl has proven to be an integral part of his team gaining vast experience across projects in industrial, commercial, healthcare, education and retail sectors.

Carl commented: “I’m delighted to be taking the next step in my career and I’m looking forward continuing to work within the same close-knit team here at Portland. It’s a great feeling coming to work with your mates and I’m excited to see where the future takes me.”

Kieran’s journey with us showcases the many opportunities for development we provide.  Joining the team in 2016 through our well-regarded apprenticeship scheme, Kieran quickly proved himself to be an asset to the team.  He has shown an excellent base of technical skills alongside a keen eye for professional development.

Kieran said: “I am delighted to be advancing my career at a great company.  Ever since I came through the door, I have been fully supported with all my career ambitions.  I’m excited to get stuck into my new role and help drive Portland forward.”

Carl joined the company early on in his career and has grown in confidence with each year.  He’s developed into a fantastic engineer with a good grasp of managing projects.

Kieran has been with us since he was 16 and it’s brilliant to see how he’s progressed since then, taking increasing responsibility on jobs and developing excellent working relationships with clients
