With continued commitment to the development of staff, we are proud to announce the well-deserved promotion of two outstanding members of the team, Mark Quigley, Senior Structural Technician and Alan Maskell, Operations Manager, to the role of Associate.

The promotions reflect the exceptional dedication, expertise, and contributions that both Mark and Alan have made to the business.

Mark’s promotion continues his incredible journey within the company, having been with Portland since the very beginning – joining as an apprentice in 2004. Mark will continue to inspire innovation and teamwork within the organisation.

Mark Quigley commented: “This promotion reflects the leadership, support and encouragement that I have experienced from day one.  I feel privileged to have been given this opportunity to help shape the company going forward.”

Alan has had a transformational impact on the business in his short time with us.  Commencing 2023 as our Operations Manager, he has helped drive significant changes which have improved our internal processes and streamlined our delivery to clients.  His wealth of experience working at a high level within the region’s construction industry has proved invaluable.

Alan Maskell said: “I’m delighted to have received this promotion at a fantastic, forward-thinking and employee friendly company and welcome the opportunity to further contribute to the business and teams’ success and evolution’

Mark has been with Portland since he was 16 and it’s been great to see him progress through the company over the years, from our first apprentice to one of our newest associates.

Alan joined Portland in a newly created role as part of a wider restructuring of the management team.  In his time, he has proven critical in allowing the business to evolve.

Their promotions are very much deserved, and we are excited to see them continue to grow in their new roles.  Both Alan and Mark will play a critical role in strengthening Portland’s future.”
